This annual tour is meant to uplift and center Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (ANHPI) bookstagrammers and authors during AANHPI Heritage Month. The objective is to encourage folks to follow more ANHPI creators, and to read more ANHPI stories all year long.

AAPI Heritage Month was created by the U.S. government to recognize Asian Americans and Pacific Islander's contributions and continuing contributions to the U.S. The acronym has grown to include Native Hawaiians making it AANHPI.The book tour participants will post on their scheduled tour dates, using the hashtag #ANHPIBookstaTour on Instagram. In the past, ANHPI creators have graciously shared their experiences and reflections on being ANHPI, including book reviews, family histories, their own published work, reels, commentary on ANHPI representation in media, and more. Each person’s content & experience varies, with a great reminder that Asian, Native Hawaiian, & Pacific Islander experiences are not a monolith.
Thank you for following along the tour, and for uplifting ANHPI voices in bookish spaces all year long. This tour was founded by Kat @booknerdkat in 2021, and is now hosted by Mylynn @hyperfixatedreader and Brittany @bookish.millennial.
